Since we have put our house up for sale, we have started looking for possible homes to buy. This takes a lot of time and travel. First we have to drive by the house and see if the neighborhood looks good and see what the house actually looks like because you can't always tell from the pictures. Then we determine which ones we would actually like to go see inside. Next step is to call our agent to set up appointments and then go back and look inside each one to see if we could actually live there. Really long process, not nearly as fun as going to the mall.

Well, after about 3 weeks of looking, we have seen a house that we think could work for us to live in for the next 20 years. Now comes the dreaded info gathering process to see if the numbers would work and the area is good and taxes, utilities and everything else would be workable. When we determined that we might be able to do that (assuming our house sells for a certain amount) now comes the bidding and negotiating process. Though we have to wait for our pre qualification letter first. Tomorrow will be the big day to actually put in our offer. Then waiting to see if they counter or accept.......................
