RIP

Well, we lost a special member of the family. Neils baby (his first family car) the Dodge Intrepid finally lost it's life. It gave us a good long run, 125,000 miles, many fun trips, daily voyages to work, only one speeding ticket and no accidents. On Wednesday evening it passed peacefully from our life to it's next life at the junk yard. Throwing a rod was the cause of it's demise. We found out Thursday that we would not be able to fix it. We are sad to lose this part of our family and are now looking for another vehicle. It is survived by it's owner and family. He will be missed.

Catching up

December brought us lots of snow fun. Before it got below freezing, the kids had many days of fun in the snow. Even if it was up to Michael's knees.
In our traditional family Christmas party we have the little kids act out the nativity scene. This year Michael and Karen got to play Joseph and Mary. They were so cute! Michael was very gentle with "Mary" and the new born baby Jesus. It was fun to see them be so nice to each other.
Christmas was very magical at our house this year. The kids were old enough to really get into the magic of the season and it was fun to see it through their eyes. Karen also really understood that if she was a good girl then she would get presents from Santa. So she became a more agreeable and more obedient little girl. Santa was so happy with her that she got the present she wanted most, a little fur real puppy that barks and wags it's tail. She was so happy!
Michael and Karen also wanted pillow pets for Christmas and Mommy didn't want to pay that much, so they asked Santa. Santa found a great deal because they both got the exact ones they wanted.Michael also wanted a Buzzlightyear and he was so happy when he got one from his cousin that he hugged it and hugged it and didn't want to let it go. When we got home that night he insisted that we write his name on the bottom of Buzz's foot just like in the movie. He can be so cute sometimes! We really had a fun, enjoyable Christmas this year and hope you all did too.

This year started off with a bang. Karen lost her second tooth and now has another hole being filled with a grown up tooth that seems too big for her mouth. It's a good thing that she will grow into it.
