Baptism Day

My beautiful daughter just got baptized today and is officially a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. What a beautiful day it was! It was so much fun to have both sides of the family with us and nearly everyone made it for the occasion. Karen was baptized and confirmed by her father. When she was baptized I was able to stand off to the side of the font to hold the towel for her after she got out. It was fun to see the baptism from that angle. When she came out, she told me that she felt really good inside, more than she's felt before and asked if that was the Spirit and I told her that it absolutely was. The Spirit was telling her that Heavenly Father was proud of her for getting baptized today. She was very happy and was so excited that she was finally able to get baptized. She's been waiting for this for a long time. Here are a few of the pictures from her special day.

I'm so happy for my little girl and very glad of the choice she's made. I hope I can help her to continue to learn all she needs to so she can return to live with her Father in Heaven some day.

Having our daughter baptized today made us think about our own baptism days and reminisce about our fathers and how special it was to be able to be baptized by them. What great examples they have been in our lives and now in the lives of our children.
