Formal Dance

In November we were able to go to a formal dance. It was a lot of fun. I love to play dress up. Here are a couple pictures. We were able to be there with my brother-in-law and his wife. It was fun.

It's My Birthday Shout Hooray!

Happy Birthday to me! Thanks for everyone's well wishes for my birthday. We celebrated yesterday. My husband and kids let me sleep in til 10:30 am. What a wonderful treat. We also grabbed some dinner and went to a movie, Aliens vs Monsters or is it Monsters and Aliens. Either way I was surprised at how funny it was. I really did enjoy myself, especially since we didn't have the kids with us. My niece Jessica was wonderful to come and babysit for us. We then came home. We were going to do more, but I ended up with a sinus infection and spent most of the day resting in bed and in the recliner. Neils has been so good to take care of me. He even got me breakfast in bed, isn't he sweet. Hope you all are having a wonderful day in this spring snow. I'll be grateful for it to go away!!! Spring please come soon!

Discovery Museum

I've heard so many wonderful things about the Discovery Museum in the Gateway downtown, so when Karen's preschool was going I thought it was a great opportunity especially when I could go and Michael could too. We've never been before so it was exciting. Michael always wants to go to school with Karen and so he was really excited to be able to actually go with her that day. It was wonderful. The kids had so much fun and loved all the exhibits they had there. Here are a few pictures that show some of the things they were able to do there. This first one is in an area with balls and tubes everywhere. This was the waterworks area and Michael would have stayed here the whole time (if I would have let him). This was a wind tube where Karen and Michael spent a lot of time. They were intrigued with this and thought it was so cool.
The weather station where Karen was the star!
This was the absolute favorite. The mini helicopter where they could get in and out and even get in the cockpit and air control tower. They loved this and didn't want to get out when it was time to go.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

This is how Karen looked when I went to pick her up from preschool today. Isn't she a cute little leprachaun? She does have a drop or two of Irish blood in her from my side of the family. We'll claim the Irish, even if it is that little.

Hope you all wore your green so that you didn't get pinched. We all did and were pinch free today. Yea!
