Karen's Cute Hair

It's been a while since I've posted pictures of some fun things I've tried with Karen's hair, so here are three different styles I've tried. Isn't she so cute. (mommy's bias of course)

The Best Show in Town

This week we took the kids to the circus. Neils was so excited to take the kids that he had a hard time concentrating at work that day. We went with Neils brother and his family and we really enjoyed ourselves. The kids were fascinated and excited by all the things they saw. I actually don't remember going to a real circus, just the circus stuff they show on TV. It was cool to see it all in real life. There were a lot of awesome things and my camera actually did a decent job of taking pictures, so I have several good ones I'll share. My camera didn't work on everything though. A few things I wish I could have captured on camera better were the motorcycles in the cage (they had 7 going at once, AWESOME), the trick horse riders, and the clowns with bubbles (cute show inbetween acts). We had a great time. Hope you enjoy a few of the highlights.

Mountain Con Weekend Getaway

We had a great weekend getaway. We stayed at the Hilton in Layton where the convention center was. It was a beautiful hotel with really nice furnishings. Anyway, the convention center was really nice and big too. Not a lot of big name stars there, but we had a lot of friends there that we've seen at previous cons here and in Denver. We had a lot of fun socializing and going to workshops and just playing. We saw a bunch of people dressed up in everything. People from Star Trek, Star Wars, Lost in Space, Ghost Rider, Snow White, Arabs, Romans, Scottish, Dr. Who, Green Lantern, and Batman. Here are some pictures of the costumes we saw.

Mountain Con

We are gearing up for our local Sci-Fi convention. For non-geeks that means science fiction groupies dressing up and getting together to see people who starred (or were minor characters) on such science fiction themed TV shows or movies such as Star Trek, Star Wars and anything even remotely related like Pirates of the Caribbean. My husband's oldest brother has been heavily involved in the organization of the local convention for the past 4 years and we go to support him and to enjoy ourselves for a couple days.

Here's a couple pictures from our adventures last year. We'll post more after the convention this weekend.
